SHATEC recently made a vibrant appearance at the SkillsFuture Roadshow, organised by SkillsFuture Singapore at Marina Square from 15 to 18 August 2024. This significant event brought together leading training providers, offering the public a dynamic platform to explore a range of diverse courses to upskill themselves, gain insights into the evolving job market, and secure potential job opportunities.

 

The roadshow also provided the public with the chance to receive personalised career advice from onsite advisors from SkillsFuture Singapore, equipping them with the tools needed to navigate and excel in today’s competitive landscape.

 

Visitors to SHATEC’s booth enjoyed an immersive experience, where they learned about hospitality and culinary courses through an interactive Kahoot quiz. Not only do they gain new knowledge, they take away with them customised SHATEC memorabilia, ranging from teddy bears decked in different outfits and stylish tumblers to trendy tote bags and exclusive SHATEC Orchard S$50 course vouchers. The course vouchers, in particular, drew the interest of those eager to enhance their skills by signing up for short courses at SHATEC Orchard.

 

On the last day of the roadshow, the event’s energy peaked with a special appearance by Jack Liau, a promising SHATEC hospitality student from DHM 224-A, who recently clinched victory at the National Cocktail Competition 2024 with his innovative mocktail creation, “The Sunrise.”

 

At the roadshow, Jack mesmerised the audience with a live mocktail demonstration, showcasing some of his secrets and techniques. The crowd left not only inspired but also with a deeper appreciation of the quality trainings SHATEC offers.
